Where adventurers visit dungeons filled with goblins, dragons and monsters alike, thrill and adventure are sure to follow close behind. Acclaimed writer, Fujino Omori puts together the story upon which this enchanting Danmachi anime is based upon.
In Orario adventurers seek to defeat monsters with the aim of gathering rewards in the form of shards. With these shards in hand, they can exchange them for anything ranging from currency to goods or services. Experience, skills, and achievement are used to set the adventurers apart.
In the course of the story, the developers of the Danmachi anime draw us to the character Bell Cranel. Bell is the last remaining member of the line of Hestias and the dungeons are his workplace where he tries to eke out a living. Not all is glum and gloomy for Bell as he seems to have a magnetic effect on the many deities, mortals, and girls that are around him.
Season 1 of Danmachi was very well received and run for a good 13 episodes that ended in June 2015. From then on fans have been waiting for the story to pick up on the story.
It is good news for you that season 2 has finally come into the picture. You will, however, have some of your excitement watered down a bit as season two will not be as anticipated by many fans like yourself.
Why is that?
Season 2 will have a storyline that doesn’t flow as a sequel t season 1. It will be brought to you however as a prequel side story instead. The story written by Hideki Shirane will focus and dwell mainly on Aiz Wallenstein and the Loki Familia. You will get to know about Aiz’s past, her relationships present and past and her in’s and out’s with Bell. The Loki Familia will realize the danger that life in the dungeon presents to them and the threat it presents to their lives. This will prompt them to look for other ways of accessing the dungeon. As to why they do this, you must watch the series to find out.
Another Familia, the Kali, also come into the picture and their characters are further delved into in season 2.
The anime character design is done by Shigeki Kimoto while the director mantle of the series is held by Yohei Suzuki.
What can you expect of Danmachi Season 2 Release Date?
As usual, it was expected by all that season 2 of Danmachi would come immediately after the end of the first season. Fans were left in wait hoping to see something drop in 2016 but it wasn’t going to be. Execution and delivery of the much anticipated Danmachi season 2 took much longer and the only release was done in a very calculated manner.
April 2017 saw the only documented release of Danmachi season 2. Nothing official has come out yet on the U.S. slated release of season 2. English audiences will have to keep on waiting a bit longer though rumors have it that it won’t be much longer.
